Hello

Just thought I would write something because I have not posted in a while. We are approaching the holiday seasons. Thanksgiving should be fun. Grandma's birthday is the same day. She is turning 92. She has been around for sometime and has seen some major changes in society. The other day she was chatting with David online with a webcam and you could tell by the look in her face that she was just amazed. I wonder if she ever that she would see the day that she could talk to someone over the computer. I am so glad that she is still with us.

School Pictures

Thought we would put the four girls on the blog so everyone can see how grown up they are. I must say that I have some very cute girls. I have started to learn mind games that I can use to manipulate boys so they will do everything I want them to do.

Congradulations Ashlynn

So Ashlynn tried out for the 7Th grade basketball team for the past 3 days and today they picked the teams. I'm proud to say that she has made the A team for the girls basketball team! She has worked so hard and still is, she now tries out for the AAU team on Saturday. So needless to say she is staying very busy. 4.0 student, and now working on her athletics. She had developed and had worked on her technique for some time now, she has her mind set to beat out a girl that is on her team. I'm sure she will, when she sets her mind at something she usually does.

Great job Ashlynn, we are so proud of you! Love You!

The Day After

So the day after the surgery is less than can be expected for an out-patient surgery. The procedure went well and the doctor removed a fatty tissue tumor about the size of a large jawbreaker in diameter and about 3/4" thick from the bottom on Natalee's right foot. Today has not been the greatest of days. It seems that hydrocodone makes Nat very nauseated. When she takes the pill she throws up within 5 minutes. So she feels the pain in her foot as well as the pain in her stomach from the lack of food. She can't keep anything down. So I called the doctor today to try and change her meds. That was at 12:30 this afternoon. It is now 5:45 and I have still not been able to get anything new. It seems when you are dealing with an on-call doctor they run on their time schedule and not anyone else's. That is my perception. Anyways she is resting as best she can. The girls are trying to help as much as possible and I am trying my best to be Mr. Mom. It sure is nice to have good friends that are will to help out and bring meals in. A friend is going to come over tomorrow to get Adri ready for school, as I will be working in McCall tomorrow. That is the update for now. Your thoughts and prayers are welcomed and appreciated.

Crazy News

For the past 3 months I have had a really bad pain in my right foot, I thought that it was from stepping on a bristle brush that Mike uses to clean one of his machines with. I thought that maybe something was in it or that maybe infection, went to the doctor and he also thought that it was infection so he put me on antibiotics, that made it worse. He gave me a re furl to a specialist, he had no idea and scheduled a MRI. We found out that I have a tumor in my foot, he thinks it is fatty tissue that is growing fast, at least that is what he hopes it is. So I will be having surgery on Sept. 9Th to remove it. I told you it was crazy! Even the doctor was shocked at the results, what can I say I'm special!!! Anyways, thought i would let everyone know what was going on.
Also on a good note, today was my Mom and Dads 40Th anniversary! Congratulations, what an example. Love you Dad and Mom!!!

Sickness

So today we took Ashlynn Andrea, and Adriauna to the doctor and found out too much. Lets start with Ashlynn, she has double ear infections, sinus problems, and to top it off pneumonia! Yes i said it, her lung is filled with fluid. Yea me!
Andrea has croup with strep throat, she is miserable. She has coughed so hard that she has popped blood vessels in the back of her throat. she looks like the walking dead.
Adriauna has ear infection and is on the verge of pneumonia, so we have to watch her.
So needless to say, I feel very overwhelmed. We also have to be very careful with Ash and Andrea so that Ash doesn't get strep or she will be in the hospital. Pretty crazy around here. And i thought i was going to get rid of them at school not so, at least for a week. Pray for me!

First Day of School

So today the girls started back to school. Even little Adri had orientation for kindergarten. I can't believe all 4 of them are in school now. Adri was a little upset that today was not the actual first day but that comes tomorrow. Abby (4th grade)is really excited she got the teacher she wanted and one of her best friends is in the same class. Andrea (2nd grade) said she is pleased with her teacher and would not want a different one. Ashlynn started 7th grade and likes all her teachers except one. I even read through the syllabus and decided I would not want to be in that class either. I even registered for a class at the Institute (Intro to Teaching Seminary). I finally decided to quite putting off what I really want to be doing. Natalee is a little bummed that she is the only one that is not going to school right now. I tried to make her feel better by showing her that she is getting an education at home. It is a hands on school. I don't think it worked.
Macy was even a little bummed the girls were going to be gone all day.

Shoshone falls and Bridge

Perrine Bridge, in Twin Falls

Standing under the bridge

Shoshone Falls

Shoshone Falls, pretty huh?

Girls trying to ask this guy out

So we went to Shoshone falls and crossed the bridge that you see in the picture while going into Twin Falls. While we were looking at the bridge, 3 guys jumped off it. It was so cool, they flip off it and then threw their shoots and landed on the side of the river or in it. I will post some video of it later. Travis Pestrana was just at the bridge on the 10th. There is video on Youtube. One guy landed in it. It was GREAT.
We also went to Shoshone Falls, it was beautiful, by that time the girls were spent and ready to go home. Don't get me wrong, they liked it and thought it was fun to be there, but were tired of walking and started getting on each others nerves. (Mom and Dad, I don't know how you took us all on vacations, I now know why you started to only take 1 at a time). Anyways, it was a great time and we got to spend time as a family. We asked the girls what their favorite part was and they all agreed that it was the Temple!

Twin Falls Temple

So last weekend we took our family to the Twin Falls Temple. What an experience that was, I was excited to go and take the girls because I was looking forward to see what their thoughts and feelings would be while going through and after, I wasn't expecting what I got. We went first into the Stake Center/hosting center and waited until they took us to a room to watch a video on temples and Twin Falls, and why we have them and what we do in them. As we were waiting Adri turned to me and said that the chapel was pretty, and she was happy to be there. After the movie they took us on a tour of the grounds of the temple and explained that the temples are dedicated to the Lord, and that it is a place where the Lord dwells here on earth. As we entered the youth from the area put little booties on our feet and we entered to the waiting area, they told us were everything came from, the marble , glass, wood and so on. We then entered the baptismal font which is in an oval shape and is different from other fonts, the girls loved the (swimming pool) it was beautiful. Ashlynn is excited to do baptisms for the dead now. We then went by the brides room, Adri really wanted to go in and see it, but they just let you peek in she liked that room. Then we went to the first ordinance room, can I say WOW! They had a hand painted mural of the Twin Falls area, it was like you could reach out and actually feel the dirt, water falls, and animals, it is absolutely beautiful! As we went to each ordinance room they pointed out how each room is raised in elevation and gets brighter. Before we entered the Celestial room they asked us not to talk to please be quiet and reflect how we feel about our relationship with our Heavenly Father. As I walked in I had never seen anything so bright, it was so white and beautiful and BRIGHT! We stood there and as I was trying to hold the tears back Adri tugged at my dress and said "Mom, this is so BEAUTIFUL". I just started to cry and couldn't stop. I new that my Adri could feel the spirit of our Heavenly Father, and you could feel it so strong. It was the greatest feeling, and experience to be their with my girls to see their faces and reaction to that special room. I don't think I will ever forget it! We then went to the Sealing room, that was so cool. We waited for everyone to leave and we let the girls look into the mirrors, they thought that was the coolest thing in the world. All my girls made the comment about how they could see forever, we told them that it represents our family here on earth and in heaven.
I can tell you that if you ever get the opportunity to go to a temple open house it is worth it! My girls loved it, I loved it, what a great teaching and wonderful experience to have with your family. I'm going to try to scan the pamphlet in and show you the pictures of the rooms. I'm so blessed to be a member of this gospel, for the gift of my girls from our Father in Heaven, for parents who raised me with values, and who are wonderful examples to me and my family. For a prophet who leads and guides us each day to stay closer to our Father, for those who sacrificed everything for us today. For the Scriptures which help us each day, and for Temples, which we are able to go and feel of the love from our Heavenly Father and to grow closer to him and do the work for us here on earth and in Heaven. I'm so blessed, and can't thank my Father in Heaven enough.

Ashlynn' video

So Ashlynn is trying to cross the river and having a hard time. Abigail already lost one of her sandals down the river, and Ashlynn thought that she was going to do the same thing. I had to go and rescue her and I'm the one who got soaked besides Abby who fell in because she fell on a slippery rock, it was way funny.

Cabin 2

The girls loved the sand box, so did I, no cat poop. They also love to build things with all the boys toys, and more pictures of us playing, or should I say posing.

Trip to the cabin

So we went to my great friend Liz and Kevin's cabin for our anniversary, we go every year. This year they just got done remodeling, how beautiful is that. Thanks so much for allowing us to do this every year, your the greatest! We love you guys!

So we would eat out on the patio, which wraps around the whole cabin, it so nice. We also got to ride the 4 wheelers, how fun was that, my girls want to know when we can get our own. Mike and the girls came up with a game of tag to play on them it was pretty funny to watch. We then went to the river and got wet, if I can get the video that Mike took of Ashlynn trying to get to the rock, I will, it's hilarious! It was nice to just be with family and not have to do anything! We love going to the cabin! I can't post anymore pictures on this one so I will do another one and post more. Thanks again to Kevin and Liz for being so generous. We really do appreciate all you do!

Happy Anniversary

Today is our 13Th Anniversary! Wow, can you believe that? I have been so very lucky to be married to my eternal soul mate. Mike is such a blessing to me, he is a wonderful father, husband, and best friend! What can I say, he was defiantly saved for me. I'm so thankful for all he has done for our family and the sacrifices he makes each day. He is and now and always will be the love of my life. Thank you Michael, for all you do for me and the girls. I love you! Happy Anniversary!

Andrea's knee

It looks a lot better, I'm just worried that it will stay this way. We are looking for a good scare cream. Crazy.

Adri's Birthday

So Adri's birthday was a while ago, but we took pictures with mikes mom's camera and now we can't down load them. So here are two with her new bike. She was so excited! It was a lot of fun, not as fun as mine. She is so cute.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Today is a very very special day. The one day when it is all about ME! I turned 29 or most people would call it 33. Mike treated me to a wonderful day. We went to see The Dark Knight. I would give it 5 bags of popcorn. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. We came home and Mike made me a cake, and then we grabbed the girls and went to dinner at Smoky Mountain Pizza and Pasta. I love their Sonoma Chicken. Highly recommend. We came home and I got to see my presents from Mike and the girls. See the pictures below. Love my Reba. All four seasons. Whenever I need a good laugh I can count on my Reba. LOVE IT. Another highly recommended dvd to have in your set if you do not have it. I also received a limited, signed and numbered Greg Olsen print. The first time I saw it I just cried. That is how I know I like it. The flood gates open. It is called "Awesome Wonder". The one condition I had to getting my gifts was wearing the lovely crown of jewels, and sticker saying I am the #1 mom. Love my husband and girls. It has been a great day. My parents called as well as other family members and friends. It stinks to get older but it is nice when there is a day devoted just to me. LOVE IT. Enjoy the pictures of my day.

OUCH!! part 2

You would have thought that last one took the cake. But little Adri did not want to be outdone. What more could she have done to top Andrea's "knee hamburger?" How about BREAK AN ARM! That's right. The girls were over at the neighbor's house playing in the yard and one of the neighbor boys (12 years old) was chasing Adri (4 years old), dove at her legs, tripped her up and she fell on her wrist. I am not sure where his common sense was, but I believe it was Bill Cosby that talked about all teenagers being brain damaged. I think maybe this boy is ahead of the curve. Anyways, she is a trooper, and in some pain. I think the worst part about it is that she will have to stay out of the water. Pretty tough on her since she is part fish. Natalee spent 4 hours last night at the emergency room before they determined she had a "buckle" fracture on her radius by her wrist. She went today and had her cast put on. She will have to wear it for the next 4 weeks so she will be able to get it off right before school starts. That will be nice since it his her dominate hand that is casted.

Before the drama.

After the drama. That is a face that just pulls at your heartstrings. Donations can be sent to the "Adriauna Broken Arm Foundation"

Girls Camp

They told me I had to take a picture of myself, silly me.
Kaylee, Marlee, Ashlynn, and Marissa all standing around the fire and roasting marshmallows, fun.
This is me and Dawn next to me who is a great friend who is on the stake level who is trying to get me and Mel, Scott is in the back, he is my neighbor who lives behind us who comes up to be the priesthood who help out, and Mel a Great Friend.

Ashlynn, Me, and Marissa my girls, how fun it was having them both there. Thanks for being there.

Ashlynn and I right before testimony meeting. It was so nice to be there for her first year.

All my girls at the lake, they are sure a funny bunch. We laughed so hard all week.

This is Melanie, she saved my life. What a great help, and friend!
Marissa, Hailee, and Kayla at the lake.

These are all my girls, they are so GREAT!
So I'm back from a week of girls camp, wow can we say I'm glad that it is over, but to tell you the truth I always look forward to the next year. Rumor is that I will be on the Stake level next year. I'm excited!! We had a great time.
Ashlynn went for her first time and I think she really enjoyed it, Marissa also went with us and we have officially adopted her into our ward, the girls love her and want her to move in with me so she could go to our ward. She met some new friends here that I think might be lasting friends, we will have to wait and see.
We had no problems except for me getting in trouble by the stake because Hailee, Ali, Marissa, and another girl decided to be loud and noise until 3:00 am. Needless to say, they got the lecture from the stake. We had a lot of time down at the lake, we played a lot of games, and felt the spirit so strong. So I thought I would post some of the pictures of the week, so here they are.
